Team Bath to host Durham in BUCS quarter-finals as Blue & Gold set off on the Twickenham trail

Team Bath men’s 1st XV will be at home to Durham in the quarter-finals of the BUCS Rugby Championship after the final BUCS Super Rugby standings were determined today.

Hartpury’s 49-22 win at Nottingham Trent saw them move up to second above the Fulkers-sponsored Blue & Gold, whose third-placed finish is their highest yet in the national league competition.

The day’s other outstanding fixture saw Leeds Beckett beat Durham 24-14 to finish fourth in the table.

That result meant that Durham remain sixth in the final standings and will now visit the University of Bath Sports Training Village in the last eight on Wednesday, March 20 (6.30pm kick-off, free admission).

Durham are the only team to have beaten Team Bath twice this season but the home side, who have won their last five matches, will be looking to put on a show for the spectators as they seek to reach the Twickenham final on April 10.
