Bath Rugby debutants in Team Bath starting line-up as men’s 1st XV return to BUCS Super Rugby action with trip to Cardiff Met

After a fortnight’s break, the Team Bath men’s 1st XV resume their BUCS Super Rugby campaign tonight with a short trip across the Welsh border to face Cardiff Met at Cyncoed (6.30pm).

The Rengen-sponsored visitors have made just three changes to the side that started their previous match, a last-gasp defeat to Exeter after an excellent performance against the table-toppers.

Captain George Cave returns to the front row, Harry Breeze wears the Number 8 shirt and there is a start for lock Josh Dingley who made his Bath Rugby senior debut in the Premiership Rugby Cup at Gloucester last week.

Tom Carr-Smith, another senior debutant at Gloucester, once again starts in a half-back pairing with Ivor Powell Sporting Scholar George Worboys, who scored his first Bath Rugby senior try in that game and a hat-trick against Exeter.

They are among an unchanged backs line-up for Team Bath, who sit sixth in the table while Cardiff Met are fourth. The match is being live-streamed here:

After tonight’s match, Team Bath have three successive home fixtures at the Sports Training Village against Northumbria (24th November), Leeds Beckett (1st December) and Loughborough (8th December). All kick-off at 6.30pm and admission is free.
