Team Bath bidding to avenge opening-day defeat as BUCS Super Rugby home run continues against Leeds Beckett

The second of three successive BUCS Super Rugby matches at the University of Bath sees Leeds Beckett visit the Sports Training Village tonight (6.30pm kick-off, free to watch).

It is a rematch of the opening fixture of the 2021-22 season, which saw the Rengen-sponsored Team Bath men’s 1st XV suffer defeat in Yorkshire.

They will be looking to make amends for that result and build on last week’s eight-try victory over Northumbria, which moved Team Bath up to sixth in the table.

There are several changes to the home starting XV with captain George Cave, Erik Bryant and Ted Johnson all returning to the pack. George Wootten and Bevan Howells link up at half-back and Rahul Patel returns to outside centre, with Cal Barrett moving to the wing and Iwan Price Thomas coming in at full-back.

Don’t forget that admission to all of this season’s BUCS Super Rugby matches at the Sports Training Village is free, so come and back the brothers in Blue & Gold!
