Team Bath making first of two trips to Wales in a week for crunch clash with Cardiff in battle for BUCS Super Rugby top-eight finish

Team Bath kick off the final week of the 2021-22 BUCS Super Rugby league season at Cardiff University today (6pm) with the first of two crunch trips to Wales in seven days.

The Rengen-sponsored men’s 1st XV know a win would go a long way to securing an all-important top-eight finish and a place in the end-of-season knockout stages. They currently sit seventh in the table, two points above Cardiff who also have a game in hand. That is against Leeds Beckett, who are a further four points back with two games in hand but have to travel to table-topping Durham and third-placed Loughborough.

There is just one change among the backs to the Team Bath starting XV that took on Cardiff Met last week, with Alex Clayton on the wing, while co-captain George Cave and Duncan Hood come into a reshuffled pack.
