Live-streamed trip to Cardiff Met kicks off challenging February on the road for BUCS Super Rugby high-flyers Team Bath

Team Bath kick-off a tough run of February away trips by making the journey across the River Severn on Wednesday to face Cardiff Met in a live-streamed BUCS Super Rugby fixture (6.30pm).

The Bath Building Society-sponsored men’s 1st XV go into the match as league leaders following last week’s hard-earned 21-15 victory over Hartpury and Loughborough’s narrow 20-17 defeat at Nottingham.

Cardiff Met sit fourth in the table and will be looking to bounce back from their 34-22 reverse at second-placed Exeter last Wednesday. They also won 26-12 at the Team Bath Sports Training Village in October.

Team Bath make six changes to the team that started against Hartpury with Josh Cilia, Jasper Spandler and Archie McNicol returning to the front row. Haydn Barnes comes into the second row, James Pavey and Byron Lloyd-Gilmour starting on the wing, and Zach Rodber lining up at full-back, with Luca Mignot switching to fly-half and captain Alfie Garside moving to centre.
