Team Bath men’s 1st XV end 2019 with BUCS Super Rugby reverse in tough conditions at Cardiff Met

Team Bath men’s 1st XV were beaten 33-12 at Cardiff Met on Wednesday in their final BUCS Super Rugby game of 2019.

In a match played in monsoon conditions in the Welsh capital, it was the hosts who managed the conditions best as they opened up a 19-0 lead at half-time.

They stretched that out to 33-0 before Team Bath finished the game on a positive note with a couple of late tries, one of which was converted.

The result sees the Blue & Gold – sponsored by Fulkers Bailey Russell and also supported by Rengen Developments – go into the Christmas break sitting eighth in the league table.

The season resumes on Wednesday, January 29 when Team Bath visit old rivals Loughborough. Click here to see the full fixture list.
