From BUCS Super Rugby to the European Challenge Cup as Beck Cutting and Kieran Verden reunite in front row for Worcester Warriors

After packing down together in the front row for the University of Bath Rugby Club, Beck Cutting and Kieran Verden were reunited on the European stage on Saturday as Worcester Warriors went mighty close to victory in France.

Trendell Sporting Scholar Cutting – a Sports Management & Coaching student at the University – started at hooker in Warriors’ European Challenge Cup match against Pau, who scored an injury-time try to snatch a 24-20 home win.

He was joined off the bench in the second half by University of Bath graduate Verden, who was making his Warriors debut having joined on loan from Bath Rugby the previous day.

Prop Verden lined up alongside Cutting several times in the Blue & Gold of Team Bath during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 BUCS Super Rugby campaigns.
