Returning graduates among 30-strong England Rugby men’s squad training at University of Bath ahead of Argentina showdown
A trio of title-winning University of Bath graduates are back at the Sports Training Village this week as part of the England Rugby Men’s A squad preparing to face an Argentina XV at The Rec.
Forward Jack Kenningham and backs Orlando Bailey and Max Ojomoh are among the 30 players attending a two-day training camp at Team Bath ahead of Friday’s international at the home of Bath Rugby.

All three won PREM Rugby titles while studying at the University, Kenningham (Sports Performance) with Harlequins in the 2020-21 season and Bailey (International Development with Economics) and Ojomoh (Business) with Bath Rugby in 2024-25. Both Kenningham and Ojomoh represented the University men’s 1st XV in BUCS Super Rugby.
Also part of the England support staff was University of Bath Hall of Fame for Sport inductee Nigel Redman in his role as Head of Team Performance.
This is the second successive year that the England Men’s A squad, led by Head Coach Mark Mapletoft, have prepared for their Autumn international at the Sports Training Village, using the Team Bath Gym, sports hall, indoor sprint track and St John’s grass pitches.
The University has proudly hosted England Rugby training camps on many occasions, dating back to the first in 1987. The senior men’s squad were regular visitors from 2007-2009 and returned again during the 2016 Six Nations, while the women’s squad enjoyed month-long training camps at the Sports Training Village in 2021 and 2022.
