England Rugby call up University of Bath student Vilikesa ‘Billy’ Sela for 2026 Six Nations
University of Bath student Vilikesa ‘Billy’ Sela has been named in the England Rugby squad for the 2026 Guinness Men’s Six Nations Championships.
The Bath Rugby prop, who studies Sports Performance, is one of three uncapped players selected in the 36-strong squad by Head Coach Steve Borthwick, himself a Bath graduate and Hall of Fame for Sport inductee.
Sela, at 20 years old, is the youngest player in the squad but has already gained plenty of PREM Rugby experience with Bath and progressed through his country’s age-grade ranks, winning the Junior World Championships with England U20s in 2024 and representing England A during the autumn.
He cut his teeth with the University men’s 1st XV in BUCS Super Rugby and was a regular starter during the 2023-24 season, helping Bath reach the semi-finals and win their annual Anniversary Game showpiece match at The Rec.
Aaron James, Head of Rugby at the University of Bath, said: “We are so pleased for Billy, he deserves this opportunity for the work he has put into his performances and his journey. It may have been a couple of seasons since he last represented ‘the Brothers’ but we still see a lot of Billy around the campus, pre and post lectures. Hopefully he will become the latest current student to earn a senior cap for his country.”
Fellow Bath Rugby prop Archie Griffin made his Wales debut during the 2024 Six Nations while still a student and Enoch Opoku-Gyamfi, a Sports Performance course colleague of Sela’s, represented Italy at senior level for the first time during the 2025 Autumn Internationals.
Business graduate Max Ojomoh, who earned his first two senior caps last year, is also included in an England squad that will begin their Six Nations preparations at Pennyhill Park on Tuesday (27th).
