Plenty of familiar faces at The Rec as Team Bath BUCS Super Rugby players continue to make the step up to Premiership level

BUCS Super Rugby’s role in helping student players develop into top-flight performers is illustrated once again with three Team Bath players being named in the match-day squads for tonight’s Premiership Rugby fixture between Bath Rugby and Worcester Warriors at The Rec.

University of Bath Sport Management & Coaching student Beck Cutting, who is supported by a Trendell Sporting Scholarship, continues to gain more Premiership experience with Warriors by starting at hooker for the visitors.

Lining up for the home team at openside flanker is Sports Performance graduate Miles Reid, who returned to action earlier this month following a long-term injury.

And in contention to make his senior Bath Rugby debut is prop Kieran Verden, who was a BUCS Super Rugby regular for Team Bath from 2017 to 2019 as he combined study and sport at the University.

Verden and Cutting are no strangers to The Rec having helped Team Bath secure the Anniversary Game trophy, sponsored by Rengen Developments, with a thrilling 29-27 victory over Leeds Beckett in October 2018 (pictured top).
