University of Bath student Jack Kenningham caps dream debut season by helping Harlequins win Premiership Rugby title

University of Bath student Jack Kenningham completed his remarkable rise from BUCS Super Rugby student player to Premiership Rugby champion after helping Harlequins to title glory at Twickenham on Saturday.

Kenningham, who is graduating from his Sports Performance degree course this summer, played a key role in the back row and produced the most tackles of any Quins player – 22 – as they defeated defending champions Exeter Chiefs 40-38 in an incredible final.

It capped a superb breakthrough season for Kenningham, who only made his Premiership debut at the end of February but went on to cement his place in Quins’ starting XV as they earned their first title since 2012.

A product of the Harlequins Academy, Kenningham was also a key player for Team Bath men’s 1st XV in BUCS Super Rugby in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, earning an England Students call-up for his stand-out performances in the Blue & Gold and gaining valuable development opportunities.
