University of Bath student-rugby player Archie Griffin named in Wales squad for 2024 Guinness Six Nations

University of Bath student Archie Griffin is in contention for a first senior Wales cap after being named in their 2024 Guinness Six Nations squad.

The tighthead prop is in his third year of combining a Sports Performance degree with representing Bath Rugby and has progressed through their Academy to the Premiership, making four appearances so far this season.

A Wales U18 and U20 international, Griffin has also impressed for the University men’s 1st XV in BUCS Super Rugby and was named in the national league’s 2022-23 Team of the Year following an excellent campaign.

Wales begin their Six Nations campaign on Saturday 3rd February with a sell-out home fixture against Scotland, whose squad includes Sports and Exercise Science graduate Josh Bayliss. The Bath Rugby forward has five caps for his country.
