University of Bath student Enoch Opoku-Gyamfi makes senior international rugby debut for Italy
Enoch Opoku-Gyamfi became the latest University of Bath student to make his senior international rugby debut when he appeared for Italy’s men in their 2025 Quilter Nations Series victory over Chile.

The Team Bath Breakthrough Programme student-athlete, who studies Sports Performance, came on as a 72nd-minute replacement during Saturday’s match at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa to become Azzuri international #752.
Opoku-Gyamfi, who plays second row for the University men’s 1st XV in BUCS Super Rugby, had previously represented Italy in the U20 Six Nations and World Rugby U20 Championship this year.
The Bath Rugby Scholar is the second current student to win a senior international cap for a World Cup Nation during the BUCS Super Rugby era, emulating the achievement of Wales prop Archie Griffin in 2024.
Max Ojomoh, who made his senior debut days after graduating in Business during the summer, excelled on his first England start at Twickenham as he scored the opening try and provided eye-catching assists for two more during Sunday’s 27-23 victory over Argentina.
The Bath Rugby centre also represented England A earlier this month against New Zealand at The Rec. Sports Performance duo Vilikesa ‘Billy’ Sela and Kepu Tuipulotu appeared in that match too as well as the following week’s fixture in Spain.
