Bath warm up for Anniversary Game in fine style as Kepu Tuipulotu hat-trick inspires eye-catching victory at Cardiff Met

The University of Bath men’s 1st XV warmed up for their huge Anniversary Game visit to The Rec in fine style as they won 33-5 at Cardiff Met on Wednesday.

Cardiff Met went into the match as the early BUCS Super Rugby pacesetters but were left firmly on the back foot by a first-half hat-trick of tries from England U18 hooker Kepu Tuipulotu (pictured).

They, along with two conversions from Will Roue, gave Bath a 19-5 lead at the interval and the visitors quickly extended that as co-captain Connor Treacey went over for a bonus-point converted try.

An excellent team performance was capped when Alfie Griffin went over in the last minute and Roue kicked his fourth conversion of the night.

Bath now sit second in the table and will face third-placed Hartpury in front of thousands of fans at The Rec on Wednesday 16th October in their showpiece Anniversary Game, sponsored by Colour Studios.
